| The war in Iraq is far from over. A new battle is being waged, and this time children are the target. Because of the atrocities committed by the Hussein regime and depleted uranium used in American and British weapons, one in 10 newborns in parts of Iraq are born with a congenital heart defect. The alarming rate of newborns born with a broken heart means over 30,000 children are waiting for life-saving surgery, but only a few hundred are operated on each year. Iraqi children are dying from broken hearts. Another War will present the plight of the Iraqi people in regards to not only the cardiac crisis of Iraqi children, but it will also detail the implications for the situation globally. In short – this film will explore how children across the globe are affecting us right here in the US. |
