| A Silent Struggle: A Collection of Stories about Living with Endometriosis is a book that will tell the stories about the physical and emotional pain and the complexity of living with this illness. Endometriosis affects 176 million women worldwide (endometriosis.org). It causes pain, infertility, physical and emotional distress, and quality of life issues for women worldwide who are suffering from this illness. This book is being published because this illness is difficult to live with and understand, and there is no cure. This book is being published to bring comfort to the women who are suffering, to bring understanding their friends, family, spouses, and partners, and to raise awareness in the public so that people can better understand the complexity of living with this illness. The pain that women face from this disease is real. The psychological damage potentially long-lasting. So, your stories are being told. Your voices are being heard. Together, this book can change the public attitude about a disease that cannot be seen outside but very much affects us from within. A Silent Struggle is currently in production.
